Results: Grassroots site became the top performing Expedia campaign at the time and achieved a #1 rank on Google.
I began working at Expedia 6 months before Covid-19 turned the world up-side-down. Millions upon millions of travel plans canceled (mine included). A few of us decided we were going to go a little rogue and create a space for people to virtually travel and explore the world; to escape their four walls for just a few hours. I scoured the internet for hours, looking for accessible, virtual experiences (few existed at the time - early April 2020.)
I designed the architecture, flow, and a landing page that could be easily maintained by our SEO and Marketing teams as well as localized for different points of sale.
