Mini Study: Crocs.com

Client: Crocs
Project: Crocs.com redesign
Responsibilities: Stakeholder Interviews, User profiles, Competitive/Comparative audits, Task flows, Site Architecture, Wireframes, Design direction
Challenges:
Despite an extensive product catalog, customer awareness was limited to Crocs’ molded clogs. Additionally, Crocs’ online experiences were woefully outdated both visually and technically, and did not inspire new customer engagement or repeat sales.

Stakeholder interviews

Stakeholder interviews provide the opportunity to gleam insights and ideas from those who will be impacted or have an impact in the outcome of the project. Stakeholder interviews help define and prioritize business goals and requirements and help align goals and objectives of the project.

User profiles

User profiles or personas are fictional individuals modeled on traits and characteristics of actual users of a product or service. They are referred to throughout the design process to ensure that their needs and goals are being met as decisions are made by eliminating potential internal bias and keep the project on target.

Hi-fdelity wireframes

Hi-fidelity wireframes capture critical information requirements necessary for the site from product discovery to check-out and payment. Individual flows (e.g., Size, color selection, Checkout) were wire framed in phases to manage unique details and ensure accuracy.

Results: The site was rebuilt to be easier to refresh and update. It became more accessible across different platforms and devices, new interactive features were added to bring the products closer to online customers, product pages were streamlined, and a shopping cart and checkout process revamped to accommodate US and International requirements.
